대학원 지원 유형이 어떻게 되나요?

대학원 선발 기준은 어떻게 되나요?
연구실의 선발 기준은 따로 없으나 딥러닝 및 자연어 처리에 대해 흥미가 있는 학생들을 대상으로 모집하고 있습니다. 입학 전 자연어 처리에 대한 기본 지식 및 연구실에서 사용하고 있는 PyTorch와 PyTorch Lightning을 사전 학습해오시는 걸 추천드립니다. 하지만 기초 지식이 없더라도 연구실에서 진행하고 있는 연구/프로젝트를 통해 배워나갈 수 있으니 부담 갖지 않으셔도 됩니다. 이밖에 자세한 선발 과정은 Apply 페이지를 참고 바랍니다.
연구 분야는 어떻게 되나요?
저희 연구실에서는 자연어 처리와 인공지능과 바이오와 융합한 연구를 함께 진행하고 있습니다. 연구실에서 집중하고 있는 연구 분야와 그동안 연구실에서 진행한 프로젝트는 Research Areas와 Projects에서 확인하실 수 있습니다.
졸업 후 진로 분야는 어떻게 되나요?
삼성, 네이버, 카카오와 같은 대기업이나 ETRI와 같은 연구소의 자연어 처리 연구원 및 개발자로 취업할 수 있으며, 연구/개발직 이외에 해외 유학, 벤처 회사 창업 등 다양한 방면에서 본인의 꿈을 펼칠 수 있습니다.
연구실 인턴 혹은 학부연구생 프로그램이 있나요?
ISoft 연구실은 현재 학부 인턴/연구생을 상시모집하고 있습니다. 연구실 소속원이 되면 현재 연구실에서 진행 중이거나 계획하고 있는 연구/프로젝트 혹은 개인이 연구하고 싶은 주제의 자연어 처리 연구를 진행할 수 있습니다. 또한, 해당 연구 및 프로젝트의 결과물을 학회/저널에 논문을 투고하는 과정까지 경험할 수 있습니다.

If you wish to join ISoft Lab as a M.S., M.S.–Ph.D. integrated, or Ph.D. student, please send an email to Prof. Sangkeun Jung with a brief personal statement and your transcript. In your statement, feel free to describe your experience with AI/deep learning projects, programming, and undergraduate research.

What types of graduate programs are available?
Our lab is affiliated with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and the Department of Bio-AI Convergence. We recruit M.S., M.S.–Ph.D. integrated, and Ph.D. students. For detailed information on graduate admissions, please visit the CNU Computer Science and Engineering graduate admissions board or the CNU Admissions website.
What are the selection criteria?
There are no strict criteria, but we recruit students interested in deep learning and natural language processing. We recommend familiarizing yourself with the basics of NLP and the tools we use (PyTorch and PyTorch Lightning) before joining. However, even without prior knowledge, you can learn through the research and projects conducted in the lab, so please do not feel pressured. For more details on the selection process, please refer to the Apply page.
What are the research areas?
Our lab conducts research in natural language processing (NLP) and AI-Bio convergence. You can find more about our focused research areas and past projects on the Research Areas and Projects pages.
What career paths are available after graduation?
Graduates can work as NLP researchers or developers at major companies such as Samsung, Naver, and Kakao, or at research institutes like ETRI. Beyond research and development roles, graduates have also pursued overseas studies and founded startups.
Is there an internship or undergraduate research program?
ISoft Lab currently recruits undergraduate interns and researchers year-round. As a lab member, you can participate in ongoing or planned research projects, or pursue your own NLP research topics. You will also have the opportunity to experience the full research cycle, including submitting papers to conferences and journals.

Our lab participates in the BK21 program and the Bio-AI Convergence Research Center. Depending on your department, you may receive scholarships from the BK21 program (Computer Science and Engineering) or the Bio-AI Convergence Center (Bio-AI Convergence).
